Hi! I'm Marisa! 
 

 I started working at Lakeview in August 2022 and I am also a therapist at a high acuity residential treatment program. I have experience working in psychiatric hospitals, residential settings, and with probation and parolees. I am passionate about providing treatment to individuals who struggle with mental illness, behavioral issues, and are involved in the criminal justice system because I believe that everyone deserves the chance to receive quality treatment no matter the circumstance.

 

I aim to create a safe and supportive space for adolescents to express themselves, address their needs, work towards their goals, and increase their self-regulation skills. I firmly believe that early intervention is key in helping adolescents succeed in the least-restrictive care setting. I specialize in treating adolescents and have extensive experience working with those who are struggling with emotional dysregulation, trauma, anger and aggression, sexually problematic behaviors, anxiety, and self-directed violence.

 

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, practicing yoga, and getting involved in boxing! I love learning new ways to help others which has led me to become a certified yoga instructor (RYT 200) and to participate in the Juvenile Sexual Offending Counselor Certification Program.
