Hi, I'm Ally!

I started at Lakeview in the Fall of 2022. I am currently a full time school social worker within an elementary school setting. I have 7 years of experience working with individuals of all ages who have experienced trauma and over 5 years of experience working in the school setting. I have worked with adults and children with anxiety, depression, trauma, Autism, ADHD/ADD and deficits in social skills and emotional regulation. Working in a school setting provides me with a skill set that allows me to easily connect with the school systems, advocate for the child in the school setting and support the connection between the school and home. I strongly believe in the importance of using a whole child approach and building a team to support the child.
As a prior travel and collegiate athlete, I have a passion for supporting athletes of all ages to develop skills that help them power through and cope with the high demands placed on them daily. I hope to work closely with individual athletes, teams and coaches to build camaraderie and individual skills that will assist with increasing confidence, focus and love for the sport. As an individual who experienced a career ending injury, I hope to help athletes process through their own injuries, the grief, identity loss and pressure that comes along with the injuries. I believe in the importance of building a safe place, a strong therapeutic relationship, honesty, accountability, teamwork and kindness.
I love to be outdoors, sports (Go Cubbies!) and all things Marvel Universe. I am a new mom and am loving all the new adventures.
