Shannon Hill, LCSW
Shannon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her bachelor's degree in social work at the University of Illinois Chicago and her master’s degree in social work at Aurora University with a concentration in school social work.
Shannon began her professional career working with youth in a group home setting due to experiencing trauma in their environment. She later transitioned to the role of school social worker and continues to work in the school setting 23 years later. Shannon specializes in treating children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, anger, social pressure, depression, attention difficulties, self confidence and social skills.
Shannon’s approach to therapy is building a strong rapport with her clients while focusing on the clients strengths while utilizing a solution focused approach. She believes meeting the clients where they are is an important role as a therapist and helping meet their needs while setting goals along the way.
As a mother and licensed therapist, Shannon understands the challenges that life presents at different stages and offers a safe, non judgmental space to work collaboratively with her clients to allow change, healing and personal growth to occur.
