Ana Maroon, LCPC

Therapist for Adults

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

"I believe healthy relationships with ourselves and others are a major key to authentic happiness."

I am excited to be back with Lakeview after taking some time away during my fertility journey. I have been counseling for over 11 years and am so happy to be part of this incredible team again!

In my earlier career I spent a lot of time working with both victims and perpetrators of violent crimes — adults and youth. I've worked in a domestic violence agency as well as inpatient, residential and outpatient settings. Now I have focused more on working with adults and helping them foster and maintain healthy relationships in their lives. My special area of interest right now is narcissistic abuse and helping people heal from relationships with people who lack emotional maturity. I believe healthy relationships with ourselves and others are a major key to authentic happiness!

My approach tends to be more laid back, which has made me an especially great fit for people who are new to therapy or a bit apprehensive about it. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy and take a person-centered approach — helping people identify and challenge negative thinking patterns and identify possible behavior changes that can help them reach their goals. I enjoy helping people find their self worth again!

I also have experience with fertility, life transitions, parenting, blended families, immigrant families, LGBTQ+ relationships, and general anxiety. If you need help with one of these areas, I would love to work together!

Outside of work I enjoy time with my family, dogs, and especially my new baby girl! I love music, concerts, watching sports (particularly soccer and Formula 1), video games, comic books, trading card games, and trying new restaurants and ethnic cuisines. My husband and I are always looking for new restaurant recommendations!

So if you think I'd be a good fit — reach out! I hope we can work together.
