Beth Janczak - LCSW—Owner/Therapist
Beth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2002. She went on to earn her Master’s in Education and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa in 2006. Beth began her professional career at a regional hospital in Iowa working with children and adolescents in an inpatient setting. Upon her move to Illinois, Beth began her work in McHenry County in 2006. She was worked in a variety of settings, as a SASS therapist, school social worker, and outpatient therapist. She is well versed in the needs of children and adolescents, both in and outside the school setting.
Beth specializes in treating anxiety, depression, women’s issues, parenthood, family dynamics, and relationship stressors. Beth will frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy approaches. She also incorporates stress management and relaxation techniques into her sessions.
Beth’s strengths lie in her ability to work alongside and develop strong relationships with children, teens and adults. Beth’s therapeutic approach is solution focused, and strengths based, and is tailored specially to the client and his or her concerns. She believes in working alongside her clients to help each one achieve a sense of well-being and strength to move through life’s difficult moments.
